The fourth annual Barclays Bank Business Club Fair opened its doors to the public at the Nairobi Sarit Expo Centre this morning with over 100 local business club members showcasing their products and services.

For three days, the Club members have a unique opportunity to market and sell their diverse products and services, ranging from small handcrafts and, clothing to, consultancy and communication.

Barclays Kenya Consumer Banking Director, Abdi Mohamed, commented, “We are always looking for innovative and productive ways to help our small business customers achieve business growth. This Business Club fair will enable our customers to market and promote their products and businesses to new and potential clients and partners.”

Mr. Mohamed added, “Facilitating this business expo is part of our strategy of adding value to customers' businesses by creating constructive networking and marketing opportunities. The Bank is pleased to offer activities that serve the best interests of local businesses, which are key to accelerating Kenya’s economic development in line with the objective of Vision 2030.”With more than 15,000 members, the Barclays Business Club is one of the most successful in the region. In addition to Business Club Expo, Barclays Kenya offers numerous valuable and beneficial opportunities, such as facilitating international business trips and quarterly seminars on tax management, marketing, investment, and financing options.

Since the inception of the Barclays Business Club, eight years ago, over 2,000 members have had access to international business exchanges (Far East, Europe, United Kingdom and United States) where they have made valuable business contacts, and expanded their businesses and networks.
