Fraudsters are getting more and more creative. Some are even impersonating Absa Mauritius representatives and attempting to reach people through WhatsApp calls or video calls.

Note: Phone numbers used in these scams change frequently, so do not rely on the number to verify authenticity.

Don’t be fooled. Remember that Absa will never call, SMS, or WhatsApp you to request your account details, card information, one-time password (OTP), or PIN.
Here’s how you can stay safe:
- Stay alert to suspicious calls, messages, or online offers.
- Never share your personal or banking information.
- Protect your accounts and encourage your family and close contacts to do the same.
